A Historic Milestone in the Life of KMS

Record induction of 640 Life Members marks an unprecedented chapter in the legacy of Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society

A bright sunny morning welcomed 640 newly inducted members on the rain-washed precincts of Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir Society on 24th January 2026. The occasion was to Meet and Greet the record breaking 640 members who have been warmly welcomed at the Lotus Feet of Devadidev Mahadev, Maa Dakshinakali and Radha Govind Ji. With Maa Saraswati lovingly watching over the proceedings, the members were most cordially invited to be formally inducted in the large family of KMS Life Members.

KMS management team led by Dr Rajiv Nag, achieved this unprecedented feat which was hitherto thought impossible by the residents of CR Park. And now, this achievement has been recorded in the history of KMS and CR Park of being the highest induction of Life members ever.

After attempting multiple times to become a member of this coveted and revered institution, most residents had given up hope. But this team never did. They achieved 2 unprecedented feats in one go:

1.           Amended the Constitution to expand the membership cap to 2500.

2.           Inducted 640 members in one go, in the first phase.

The achievements left the residents in complete awe, and what followed was a frenzied collection of more than 1000 application forms in a matter of days! Long queues outside the KMS office were a familiar sight then. As soon as the filled up applications poured in, the Scrutiny team worked overtime, to carefully scrutinise every detail in each application form and ensure a smooth, transparent and appropriate approval process.

On 1st December, when the lists of approved members were announced, the Mondir premises was teeming with beaming faces congratulating each other on this unprecedented feat, which many had given up hope on.

What stunned even the management, and which no one had realised till then, is the astonishingly high revered and sentimental value that KMS holds in the hearts of the residents. Many of them even had tears in their eyes when they were informed about their membership. For everyone, Mondir is not just a place of worship. It’s a place where people feel belonged, they feel Mondir is a part of their lives and supremely proud to be an integral part of it.

....

So, to welcome the members, KMS organised the welcome meet to orient the members on the workings of the Institution. Everyone was so happy to have been so cordially invited and being oriented about their revered Institution, that they could not help take photos and selfies with their I cards, and our beautiful Mondir in the backdrop. It was as if everyone had been welcomed home after such a long time.

After formal introductions of the managing team of KMS, the members were then requested to share how and where all they can add value into the workings of the institution. Some of the members shared some amazing information about how KMS can achieve even greater heights of being the most loved and revered religious and socio-cultural institution in Delhi NCR.

The meeting ended with the beaming members, leaving the meeting with hot Bhog thalis and proudly flashing their KMS Life Member I cards.

They had finally arrived home.

CR PARK SPEAKS JUNE 2025

READ CR PARK SPEAKS JUNE 2025 Click This Button Welcome to Joishtho – The Month of Nature’s Bounty Joishtho—the second month of the Bengali calendar and the final stretch of summer—is named after the Jyestha star, the 18th constellation. As the season ripens, nature steps into full bloom: trees burst into green, flowering plants blossom, paddies sway, and markets fill with juicy, water-rich fruits. It’s a time when Earth offers her abundance to all living beings. While Surya Dev (the Sun God) blazes down fiercely in many parts of the country, Indra Dev, the bringer of rain, isn’t far behind. This cosmic balance reminds us of a crucial responsibility: to protect and preserve this harmony. The best way to do that? Plant more trees. Let’s honour Indra Dev and keep Surya Dev in balance—green cover is the planet’s natural shield. Climate patterns are shifting before our eyes. In Delhi, for instance, the scorching heat often gives way to sudden thunderstorms, bringing...
